The “BIMcollab ZOOM Basics” course provides a quick overview of the core functions of BIMcollab, which help to better analyze and coordinate projects. You will learn how to create sections and various views, create and manage issues, integrate point clouds, and use property sets to display information. The course lasts approximately 1 hour and includes practical videos, which are also available on our YouTube channel.

A certificate will be issued upon completion of the training.

The prerequisite for issuing a certificate is the completion of the training in its entirety.

Curriculum

BIMcollab ZOOM Fundamentals
Here you will learn how to create and work with a federated model, create sections, and gain useful tips for navigating the model. Additionally, you will learn how to take measurements and prepare lists and extracts required for quantity takeoffs.

Creating Issues and Managing Data
You will learn how to create and manage issues, track their status, and make changes according to project needs. Additionally, you will be introduced to the BIMcollab server web view to navigate and coordinate teamwork efficiently. You will also gain knowledge of file and attribute naming logic to ensure consistency across project systems and correct data management.

Point clouds and their application
You will learn what point clouds are, how to read them, and how to use them in BIMcollab ZOOM. Point clouds allow existing conditions to be integrated into a virtual model, which is essential for renovation projects, documenting historical buildings, and complex construction scenarios. This enables more precise planning, analysis, and collaboration across the entire project team.
