Model-Based Construction Cost Estimation (4.2 CP)

The objective of the training is to provide knowledge on how to replace manual work with systematic
data processing: model quality control, enrichment, and dynamic linking with the budget. The training focuses on modern and efficient budgeting workflows. In today’s tenders, BIM models (IFC) are often available, but estimators do not dare to trust them fully. Models are often designed carelessly, with information being incomplete or unstructured.

This training is about how to take a “raw” or even flawed model and make it
suitable for your needs using Simplebim. The goal is not to replace the estimator’s thinking, but to provide them with the tools to avoid tedious “ruler work.”

During the training, we will build a comprehensive workflow: from model auditing and standardization to the automatic derivation of complex quantities (e.g., finishing layers). The result is a repeatable process where model updates reach the budget in minutes, leaving the specialist more time for substantive price analysis.
